New Detail Emerges In New York Times’ Smear Of Brett Kavanaugh
The New York Times reporters who wrote the smear article on Supreme Court Justice Brett Kavanaugh claimed on Monday night that they included the exculpatory evidence in their article but the editors removed it.
The allegation targetong Kavanaugh, contained in a new book, was published in The New York Times over the weekend: “We also uncovered a previously unreported story about Mr. Kavanaugh in his freshman year that echoes Ms. Ramirez’s allegation. A classmate, Max Stier, saw Mr. Kavanaugh with his pants down at a different drunken dorm party, where friends pushed his penis into the hand of a female student.”
The New York Times was pummeled online for nearly all of Sunday after it was revealed that they left critical information out of their report and were later forced to issue a correction:
An earlier version of this article, which was adapted from a forthcoming book, did not include one element of the book’s account regarding an assertion by a Yale classmate that friends of Brett Kavanaugh pushed his penis into the hand of a female student at a drunken dorm party. The book reports that the female student declined to be interviewed and friends say that she does not recall the incident. That information has been added to the article.
Appearing on MSNBC’s “The Last Word” with host with Lawrence O’Donnell, Robin Pogrebin and Kate Kelly said that they included in their article the fact that the alleged victim does not remember the incident but that the far-left newspaper’s editors removed it from the story.
